Ok so you wake up, get your cup of coffee, and a little bit of peace in the quiet of your living room before the rest of your family awakens, and it doesn't take long before the quiet of the morning is interrupted by the soft sound of pitter-pattering feet running down the hall and you turn to see the sleepy eyes and messy hair of your toddler who woke to find you had wondered out of eyesight.
They climb into your lap nearly knocking their head on your coffee cup and burry their face into your warm soft robe, breathing you in because you are their safe space.
Suddenly you realize how much heavier she is than the last time you had a morning like this. How much longer her hair is and she is looking less and less like the baby you carried around for so long.
